Chiropractic

James Bloom

James BloomDr James Bloom (MChiro, DC) graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 2004 with a Masters Degree in Chiropractic. James is very enthusiastic about chiropractic and how it can benefit both himself and his patients.

James takes a wellness approach to a person's care, aiming to improve and benefit their overall health rather than just relieving their pain.

Since graduating he has completed a course in Acupuncture - Dry Needling for muscular disorders, and is also currently studying sacro-occipital technique (SOT). He has a keen interest in sports injuries and paediatrics, and regularly attends educational courses to further his knowledge.

Adam Greenfield

Adam GreenfieldDr Adam Greenfield (BSc, MSc, DC) graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 2002 with a Masters Degree in Chiropractic and afterwards completed further post-graduate training to become a Doctor of Chiropractic.

Over the past three years Adam has been enrolled in a clinical neurology program with the Carrick Institute for graduate studies. He is currently studying to become a diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. An understanding of functional neurology is vital to fully appreciate the source of pain to help improve patient care and outcomes.

His second major area of interest is the painful and dysfunctional jaw. He has worked alongside many dentists over the past few years inter-referring for both dental and Chiropractic care. With this approach even difficult jaw problems can be helped.

Chiropody/Podiatry

Hema Patel

Hema PatelHema has worked in private practice since qualifying as a Podiatrist/Chiropodist from Northampton School of Podiatry and is registered with the Health Professional Council. Her key interests are in biomechanics and Verruccae treatments. She firmly believes in Continuous Professional Development as a way of keeping updated on new treatments and developments within the profession. She likes to promote various issues and new research that comes to light through lecturing at seminars. Hema is extremely passionate about podiatry and would like to see advances in homeopathic podiatry. She is working actively to increase her knowledge in this area.

As well as having a full time career she is a leader at a local Brownie pack and teaches maths to students in need of extra support.

Hema enjoys working in a multi disciplinary environment and believes this to be a healthy change in the way people perceive healthcare, as it allows for patients to get the best possible treatment. As well as mutually beneficial for the practitioners who can learn from each other. Healthy comfortable feet should be within everyone’s reach and Hema believes this target to be attainable; her enthusiasm is as contagious as is her positive attitude towards podiatry.

Each of us is unique and must have an exercise program that considers the individual as a whole.”

Corrective Exercise and Rehabilitation

Corrective Exercise takes a scientific and multidisciplinary approach in correcting postural alignment, faulty movement patterns and muscle weakness associated with chronic pain and dysfunction.

Posture is the position from which movement begins and ends. Ideal posture is the state of muscular and skeletal balance which protects the supporting structures of the body against injury or progressive deformity. It is during a state of ideal posture that the muscles will function most effectively.

These are some of the complaints Tom has worked with:

Clients have reported the following results:

Tom Smith our Corrective Exercise Specialist has been trained to recognise and evaluate common orthopaedic dysfunction and musculoskeletal pain brought on by poor posture and function.

He does this by designing exercise programs for clients in the acute stage of pain/rehabilitation and takes them through a series of programs to end stage work or sports specific conditioning to get clients stronger and more stable to prevent the injury/pain returning.
